Street Church Fete raises over £1000

Despite forecasts of rain in many parts of the country, the weather was great for the Street Church Fete, held in the Mission Church grounds on Saturday.

Jill P., who was celebrating her birthday, opened proceedings with a prayer and an official declaration, and lots of people came.

To be honest, I didn't see much of the stalls, because I was providing the background music, but there must have been good things, and people to buy, because the total mounted up nicely.

Chief thanks to Roger Harmsworth, who told me that the money raised isn't as important to him as everyone getting together to work and enjoy ourselves. But £1066 is a good result.
