More musical activity

There are now a couple more of Michael Kidd's pieces - songs this time - on YouTube, linked from his website. I sang them this morning and sent them up to the site. They are here and here.

This afternoon I spent a very pleasant time with John Foreman at the Ring o' Bells in Ashcott, having tea and biscuits and hearing him play some organ pieces he is preparing for an exam. He played that beautiful Vaughan Williams piece Rhosymedre, and also introduced me to a piece by Lubeck.

We made a start on harmonising a Bach chorale. When you come to analyse what that entails, it really is a rather complicated business, and John made a very good start.
