When I heard that John Smart was coming to visit, bringing his violin, I tried to think what we could play. The piano part needed to be very simple, so I wrote this tiny piece for John, and you can hear how attractive he has made it sound. Reminiscent of Grieg, he thinks.
So this is to show my appreciation, John.
